Here's a news flash:
It’s been more than a month since we saw the Asus R2H at the FCC, It was exptected that it would hit the market by early August and it’s almost the month end (well not exactly) but Asus has been remaining quite(sic) on the announcement.
With modern prototyping techniques (3D Printers, high-speed PCB turnaround, FPGA/CPLD/etc.) it is very easy to slap a working model together of almost anything. Getting it into production and out the door in a volume that keeps pricing reasonable is another matter altogether.

What you have here is a beefed-up Q1, which just saw a price drop to $1000, which is still almost three times the price of a 770. Besides, I can't stand Windoze on anything.

Also, 256 MB RAM for Windows Tablet Edition spells a very painful user experience. A lot worse than an ITOS 2005 770 without virtual memory.

Adding that to the general Windoze-ness, my suggestion to any prospective buyer would be: "Run, Forrest! Run!!"

Just because it "looks" good, does NOT mean it is good. Microsoft puts a lot of Eye Candy into their Windows platform, don't they? And, for any Operating System of Microsoft, you buy a Subscription, not an Operating System. And Microsoft will never release their source code nor will they tell you what Windows is doing in the background.
