I use MediaBox mostly (but not completely) to listen to music. Every time it starts, though, it's in the video section. Changing to the music section is certainly no big deal, but I was wondering if there was a way to have it start in the music section.

Beta testers are always welcome!
The source is in SVN and does not only run on the NIT, but also on a standard Linux desktop.

The current version in SVN is still a bit rough around the edges but otherwise working fine.
The most remarkable new additions are a folder browser and UPnP and YouTube support. The UPnP framework was written from scratch to be extremely lightweight, compatible, and reliable. As a result it works even well on the Nokia 770.

I think the new version will be ready for release by the end of this month.

MediaBox could remember the section where it was exited last. How about this?

Remembering the section where you quit sounds good to me. No hassle to setup where you want to start, just pick up from the last place you where. By the way: pycage do you have plans for a diablo release ? I don't want to mix up chinook and diablo repos...

Thanks for the wonderful app MiBi

The next version 0.96 will of course be released for Diablo.
I also plan to get 0.95 into the Diablo extras repository before.
MediaBox 0.95 works fine on Diablo.

MediaBox doesn't even require mogg, though.
Ogg playback is done through mplayer.

I know,
i am using mogg for ogg media streaming from internet. Nothing specific for mediabox, which is
one of the three missing apps i am looking forward to make it to the diablo extras.

Cheers MiBi
