Hi,

need to read gps location data (fix) and save them to text file on-the-fly.
Need ready working basic solution, script.
Is gpsd ok + script ?

I've used a command line documented elsewhere here in the forums:
/usr/libexec/navicore-gpsd-helper > name-your-output-file.txt

The NMEA output may need some massaging but can be quite useful.
