Well I've installed the latest updates just recently, then decided to do a reboot and now the N810 won't boot up anymore.
I do think it's running and that just the windowmanager is borked, because when I press the power-button for a sec, I get the device-mode prompt.
But other than that the screen is completely white.

Also, sounds etc. are working.

Since it refuses to connect to my wireless I can't ssh into the device and see what went wrong.

Oh, and yes, I have tried to boot up about a dozen times - always the same effect.
The only thing I have noticed is that the blue progres bar seems to get stuck at about 90% progress, while the rest progresses as speedily as usual.

*shrug*
Any clues there?

I had the same problem on my cloned install. I found out that S45maemo-launcher from /etc/rc2.d was missing. I booted to flash, mounted /dev/mmcblk0p2 and copied over the file from my working flash install.

This let me boot into the device all the way, but my wireless still does not work. When I try and restart networking I get GLIB errors saying "MC not running".

I think the update tried to replace some scripts in rc2.d, but they got borked in the process.

well, i just reflashed diabo, and did not restore my apps. its a pain to reinstall everything, but this time the update worked flawlessly. i had _a lot_ of debs installed, from various sources. i guess one or the other broke compatibility.
