I think DavidSco (SCO?) should switch to Debian and build his own desktop environment. Then he won't have to yell across an unofficial user discussion forum, which he may notice at this point does not work very well when it comes to reaching the actual destination. (Being that the destination is three communication mediums away).
Oh, he may like it better anyway, since the Deblet project is pretty solid.

Also, this isn't "the over-hyped Linux" in general, David. This is Maemo; Nokia's desktop environment built on top of a completely stable Linux kernel with a rather butchered implementation of Debian.

I think Picklesworth (pickle?) should switch to Sanka, have a Coke and a smile and shut up.

Debian? Is she hot?

I think this is sorted, then. Bug tracker, maybe the mailing list, are the places to go with this. You may need to arm yourself with some more background info, too, like what your mail host is.

Say, has anyone seen that fancy new Asus F6? Strange that the F6 comes after the F8, but it's quite a powerful computer

Actually, here's just a lot of really cool links to discuss:

It would be pretty great if the N810 had a tilt sensor like this :/

PackageKit news. Yay, go PackageKit!

Speaking of kits, here's DeviceKit:

A map widget for GTK. Lots of potential here:

Very nice results from some Google Summer of Code projects for GNOME:

davidsco27: I'm sure with your attitude you are not making any friends here. Chance of someone helping you now are pretty much zero.

Modest seem to work fine here... I'm using it with Verizon POP account. I only miss the feature of selectively deleting messages from server, which the older email client had.

Astonishing. You'd think that so much experience with so many clients would teach a person how to be tactful and respectful when the situation calls for it...

Perhaps something should be clarified. This message board does not represent the "technical support department" of any organization responsible for Nokia's Internet Tablets. This is a collection of hobbyists and engineers (amateur and professional alike) who know a lot of tricks you can pull with this stuff and are pretty knowledgable, but they can't solve everything, and what they do provide is more or less "between friends".

Therefore, what you have done is come to the wrong venue. I suggest calling Nokia.

For my own part, the solution was simple for all my email needs (desktop, N800, phone, notebook, home): Google Apps Premium.

Cheers!

Not looking for "friends" on this, got plenty, only to vent. I would THINK the "engineers" check these, as they SHOULD if they actually had concern for those they supposedly write for. Not the useless "bugzilla" so that they can blame everyone else, and waste OUR time. Again, these bugs are WELL KNOWN, are posted all over the boards, if you bothered to read them, and I'll bet dollars to donuts you are experiencing the SAME THINGS, regardless of host. I'm using Comcast and my own business host, if it matters, and it doesn't. Please, the SAME problems are ALL OVER the boards, and that's just for those that take the time (wasted) to post them, so don't try and minimize them with your hoity "I have no problem with it" baloney

Oh, and it appears many other posters in THIS thread have ALSO experienced the same things. I guess we all use the same host.

I wouldn't use Google if they owned the only toilet in the world, and I just ate 50 chalupa's and drank 30 beers.
