i just got my new tablet. i didnt do a software using nokia update wizard when i got it. if i run the update to the newest version now, will it erase everything i have installed and reset the tablet?

After that new update codename "diablo" all data and settings should not be deleted anymore.
Also its good idea to format that internal 2gb drive before you start using it, there was many units with bad internal mem.
