Probably somewhere in the 300-600k range based on numbers from last June. Nokia typically keeps stuff like that pretty close to the chest.

THE NOKIA INTERNET TABLETS HAVE BEEN AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE A HUGE SUCCESS. SO JUST SIT BACK, BE QUIET, AND ENJOY.
I prefer to sit back relax enjoy and continue to complain and moan from time to time.

After all, if we don't, Nokia might think everything is perfect and stop trying. I'm sure at least part of what Texrat and the Nokia team are trying to do will be because of protests/demands for more. If you don't ask, you don't get

I always carry the N800 in one pocket, and a cheap phone in another; I don't even have tethering (yet), as I'm mainly on University WiFi with the tablet. That'll be changing as I've just got an apartment, and need to get access there (and between).

So, my current loadout: (Items in bold are every day.)

All in all an impressive functionality! Thank you for sharing this! Probably you have to abstain from the one or another part when only businesslike suits are allowed. BTW I wonder whether Ari has a NIT in his pocket, and in which one ...

My N800 + case fits in my trouser pocket as long as I do not sit down. Most space is already filled with wallet, keyring, coins etc and my phone (which is alone in the left front pocket).

It's also a pain to have too many items in your pocket when you go thru a security gate. I go thru one quite frequently and I usually leave my N800 in the car if I have it with me.

The fun part is, I'm not responsible for product launches anymore... the hat I'm wearing currently where the tablets are concerned means channeling you guys.

Hey, I like the shoulder pack config at civilianlabs... too bad they're so clever with their interface that I can't figure out how to add the friggin' thing to the cart...

The big missing piece on the NITs is: sync.

Provide a rock-solid sync engine for all types of data -- files, contacts, calendar, tasks, anything via a plug-in architecture -- and server systems for hosting/managing/replicating that data so I can sync my info and back it up to another system easily and I will use my NIT a whole lot more.

Maybe if Nokia paid for a full-time developer on SyncML or something, and also paid for plugins to web PIM systems like google calendars/mail/tasks/contacts, yahoo for the same, MSN for the same, and so on? It has to be easy and it has to work.

Listen to the 1src podcast last week, the guy loves and misses the failed Foleo project which was to sync his contacts, email, tasks, everything from phone to Foleo netbook to desktop and back again seamlessly. This kind of sync engine would replicate and back data up on our own systems as well as across work and home systems, servers, etc.

In conclusion, yeah, I'm more on the 3-to-8 end of things...
Oh my! I can't even ... imagine ... what that must look like....

You carry a camera, a dagger, and a pair of pliers around everywhere?!

Where are these pockets? Your pants? Does anyone ever, you know, comment? ... about... you know, ... the bulges?
