There's one small trick: if tthe icon doesn't show up, go to chrome://adblockplus/content/config.html and you can configure it.

what other microb/firefox extensions do you have installed? do you have spellchecker extension installed?

Ive got Adblock plus, Flashblock and greasemonkey installed, they show up in the components list but dont "trig". If doesnt seems to work to just uninstall and install them, does anyone know if there is any file that stores settings that could be smart to remove after an uninstall to make sure EVERYTHING is wiped out?? like the chrome file or somethng?

All personal browser settings and extensions are in '.mozilla/' and '.browser' in your home folder. You better disable the browser daemon temporarily when you delete them else some things might be restored (see the wiki)

miind,
I'm curious if this suggestion of uninstall/reinstall worked, because I'm in what sounds like an identical pickle...

ABP symbol doesn't show up and I can't access chrome://adblockplus/content/config.html
It just seems to be perpetually "loading".

same here: not working. config loads infinitely...and nothing happens.
i should not have upgraded to diablo, so much stuff is broken.

the reinstall of the extensions didnt work. I dont get any of them to work. Could this be related to the diablo upgrade and that I did a complete backup and re-install? maybe this caused the tablet to overwrite some of the browser settings with the old ones.. dunno but I am starting to think about re-flash and not restore any backup.

Here it did not.

Here is what I did:

1) Closed MicroB.
2) Renamed the earlier mentioned dirs.
3) Removed all packages related to MicroB browser plugins.
4) Installed $extension (first being ABP).
5) Started MicroB, closed MicroB.
6) Verified $extension (first being ABP) worked.
7) Go to stage 4 till 6 with a different extension.

It is believed the Spellchecker extension is the culprit. Right now, I only have Flashblock and AdBlock extensions installed, and I won't touch it further.

However I did use the old MicroB directory to move some settings around to the new folder. Before you do this you really need to know what you're doing though.

Note that the extensions are called -webaddon in the package list e.g. adblock-plus-webaddon or flashblock-webaddon; not -extension.

Good luck!

here's what I did to get mine working:
1. clicked the little magnifying glass in the bottom right corner of the web browser
2. clicked on components, disabled everything
3. restarted web browser
4. went to a website with an ad. maybe it just doesnt show up on the homepage? or maybe it just takes a few seconds to show up.

then the little red corner finally showed up. SWEET.
