The museums on Museum Island are open to 10 pm and free tonight after 6.

A small segment of the Maemo community is headed there tonight, gathering in the Hotel Palace lobby at the end of OSiM (5:45 pm).

At that time we'll decide whether to go directly to Museum Island or meet after everyone has time to go first to their hotel rooms.

Special sight/site: the famous bust of Nefertiti

The German museum of technology is also recommendable, but not on the museum island.

This outing gave me a wonderful chance to get to know 15 other members of the Maemo community, walking about Museum Island (and around, and around -- is the utility of GPS predicated on knowing where you are headed? Fresh evidence provided here) and then later over dinner.

Plus we got to see the nonpareil bust of Nefertiti, which totally justifies Texrat's remarks: multiple pleasures enjoyed by us today in a wildly unfair distribution. It's not at all bad to be reminded of our good fortune.
