after installing rapier and mcalender (through appliication manager), I attempt to open them, but after doing the loading thing, nothing happens.
any ideas?

I'm having the same problem. I had it working at one point but the next day I couldn't get it working. I tried uninstalling and installing again and rebooting and still I get the same problem. When I click on mcalender in the extra menu I get "mcalender loading" then it disappears and nothing happens. Can anyone help?

from an xterm session, invoke mcalendar manually by typing "mcalendar" (without the quotes). you should see some text in the xterm window, and it may contain an error or further clues as to what is going on that causes the application to fail launching...

okay... i followed what you suggested and this is the error found:
AttributeError: 'dict' object has no attribute 'cancel alarm'

What do I do next?
