Has anyone used their n800 to record a Podcast? If so could you share?

Don't quite get you. If you need to record an audio file...use maemo recorder. If you want to download podcasts, use gpodder.
Or do you need a sample file of any of these?

I have tried using maemo recorder. I can't handle very long recordings. I want to record conversations ranging from an hour to four.

I also would like to know about others experience with external mic's.

That's odd. I thought I was able to record a two hour meeting once when I was at a car show. I'll have to try again and see how long it'll record. I'm pretty sure it'll last for a long time but I'm not certain how long.. certainly it'll at least record for an hour, as I've done that many times.
