This is great news. My 32GB SDHC card arrived last week and I'm primarily using it as a WIN XP boot disk for my corp laptop. As a result. it will be have at least two partitions, probably as FAT32. I'm hoping a partitioned SD will still work in Maemo. Please put me down for one of your adaptors. Anyone tried Canola2 with big media libraries?

I mostly use my WD 320GB USB passport drive with my tablet (in host mode) and it happens to be the same size as the n810. When the guys who made Canola have finished their Carman software I aim to install the lot in my XKR..."Kit, come pick me up?"

The samples of the unfinished cover is on it's way to me and that will be the last part of this project.

Here are some photos so people can see the quality I am going for.

These are unfinished but I am mostly considering anodized black to start. This would match the N810 normal and the WiMax versions best.
I will also be offering other colors including on near the finish of the current N810 cover and a high gloss black. Other colors will be made once I have a poll of what people would like to see.

I have finished all my testing and I am now satisfied that it works exactly as it should. The only thing I have found it the write protect is not supported in the N810 but this is not a real problem to me.

The kit includes 2 screws drivers, a replacement screw, the Adapter and one metal door. The kit will sell for $48.00 plus shipping. The first kit without the cover goes on sale on October 26th
This complete Kit should be ready around that same date depending on how fast I can get the anodized cover ready for shipping.

For those who wanted the hackers version it will be available in a few weeks also without the cover.

My Next project is a tilt sensor and a 16GB - 32GB built in Flash Drive.

Thanks for all the support

Yes this will not connect to the MINI SD slot at all but the cover will be needed.

Thanks

Would this be able to be installed along with your SD kit here, or would it have to be separate?

Personally, I've been considering trying to hack together some sort of small-size internal USB hub off of those pins on the inside so that I could add:
1) a tilt sensor USB device such as the TiltStick (http://www.harbaum.org/till/tiltstick/index.shtml),
2) another card reader (preferably one of those really tiny microSD ones), and
3) a new external USB port since such a mad scheme would effectively disable the existing external one.

However, this would require far more time than I actually have available at the moment.

Good catch!

Alas, I don't live in Japan, and they don't seem to be available anywhere else...

I should have some time next week to do this. It is all I can do right now to complete this and get it out.

No software is needed, as far as the tablet is concerned it is just a mini SD card with a larger memory capacity

Thanks
