For example, for Google it looks like this:

--------------
<search name="Google"
icon="/usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon/qgn_indi_search_google.png"
action="http://www.google.com/search"
user-input="q">
<input name="btnG" value="Search"/>
<input name="hl" value="en"/>
<input name="safe" value="medium"/>
<input name="client" value="ms-nokia-wifi"/>
</search>
--------------

The coloured parts refer to the search URL as follows:
http://www.google.com/search?q=<search-string>&btnG=Search&hl=en&safe=medium&client=ms-nokia-wifi

Is it possible to just kill the <input name="safe" value="medium"/> and nuke the safe search option altogether? I find the applet overrides any prefs you've set with Google directly based on how the search is submitted.

I'd've thought that should be fine.

Is this package compatible with IT OS 2007?
How can I add other search entries on the N800 internet search applet?

TIA

I'm a new N800 owner and completely thrilled with the unit so far! How have I lived this long without it.

As my first post here I though I'd post my additional internet search definitions and icons. Basically I just added:

Google Maps
Google Phonebook
IMDB
Epicurious
Amazon
Newegg

On the N800 all you would need to do is:

1) Unzip the files
2) Disable the "Internet Search" applet temporarily
3) Copy the .xml files into /usr/share/mis
4) Copy the .png files into /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon/
5) Enable the "Internet Search" applet again

Enjoy!

No, I tried that obviously...
It still says access is denied. I think I have an idea about that, but no solution.
I bought my 770 used and found out that there was a password set on it (I tried to set my own and could not...) Is that why it says password denied or does that not have anything to do with it? Why else would it say "Access Denied"?
