Google has released VideoChat for GMail Windows and Mac OS X. Linux or Nokia Tablet support is not present
Here is an interesting snippet
...today we're launching voice and video chat -- right inside Gmail. We've tried to make this an easy-to-use, seamless experience, with high-quality audio and video -- all for free. All you have to do is download and install the voice and video plugin and we take care of the rest. And in the spirit of open communications, we designed this feature using Internet standards such as XMPP, RTP, and H.264, which means that third-party applications and networks can choose to interoperate with Gmail voice and video chat.

All we need is an enterprising indvidual to create a client to support this. Here is the GTalk API

I tried with the N8x0 chat client but would not have video...

*drool*

I still don't understand why Google didn't release a Linux version in the first place.

maybe some V4L (Video4Linux) issues?

seems they are using some XMPP stuff they created for gtalk, and the H264 codec.

It sounds like there's third-party, closed-source stuff in there...

"Gmail voice and video chat incorporates Vidyo technology which is covered under pending U.S. and foreign patent applications."

EDIT: Wow, that's frustrating. The PC client says that the tablet is calling, and lets you answer the call, but then the tablet keeps ringing, as if the PC didn't answer. The PC also says that "video is not available" for the caller's client.
