Look what i´ve found: http://ocarina.smule.com/
It is possible to modify PyAno for example to just play tones when the mic "hears" the blow?
Then it would be possible to change the UI, too. So that we can use it like that but without multitouch...

The iPhone gets all the coolest apps. Normally, I would say this can't be done without multi-touch, but if you have only four "holes," it shouldn't be impossible to figure out which holes are being covered by the position of the "phantom finger"... I suspect the algorithm for figuring out what a 'blow' sound is would be tricky.

the mic input sound would be the simplest part of the instrument.

yes, because the mic only notices the whisper of the air, not the different sounds.. if it notices the whisper -> playing the sound
if not -> silence
the multitouch is in the beginning not essential. it can be done later. for example we can have more "holes" than the iphone-version.
