here's the log; any suggestions? (apt-get r-f remove/autoclean do not help)
OS: latest diablo

Well, seeing as you want to remove it, doing a "rm /etc/rc2.d/S55ssh" and then repeating the remove process should work nicely.

worked perfectly; thanks!

I was unsure about manually deleting files, and if it would be possible to continue the uninstallation process afterwards.
