Some time ago I saw an interesting all-weather vest on a German mail-order catalog (Pro-Idee), the "Brandungsparka" made by Wellensteyn.
Originally they made stuff for sailors on the North Sea, but nowadays their gear seems to be used a lot by German horse riders. Comments on Web forums (translated by Google :-) are generally very positive, and there were also eBay shops selling it at the time.
Well it thought it over for a while, and when I decided to order one, they had all but disappeared from the face of the Earth... gone from eBay, and also from Pro-Idee, who went from listing them with long lead times (5/6 weeks) to "non-deliverable"...
Anybody here knows anything about this ? Is it just some regular Xmas-time crunch, or is there maybe something going on with Wellensteyn itself ?
TIA,
fp
