This is mostly a minor update but I included a few enhancements and I have updated the associations to keep up with those i have in dbus-switchboard (openoffice, antiword->pdf, gpx files, timidity, fbreader, and my ext2 and ext2b mount/run/unmount commands).

Configuration screen is fullscreen and space is used better within that screen, for easier configuration.

Version 0.5.0 .deb file (tested only on diablo) can be found here :
http://wardenclyffetower.com/MaemoFi...-rev29.all.deb

It is also available on my repo at :
Web address : http://wardenclyffetower.com/maemo
Distribution : chinook
Components : user

Let me know if you run into any issues with this release.

Right click on the file and choose 'Edit filetype...' (you might have to scroll menu if option is not visible... its the last option in the menu)

Then, in the edit filetypes screen click on the left list and then click the 'add' button to insert an empty record at the bottom... scroll down and click on it (its called 'new') and you can give it a name like 'xword'... once you have typed that in click on another item in the same list above it so that the change 'sticks'. (All the lists on this screen have that same quirkiness you have to select another item in the same list to save your changes.)

Then go into the middle list and highlight the empty list and click 'add' and type in the extension puz and then (once again) click on an empty area in the same list so that the extension sticks.

Then go into the right list, hightlight it and click 'add', the new record has two parts... the name on the left half of that list is what is displayed in the menu so type in 'Open in xword' in that half of the list, then click to the right to enter the command... just type in 'xword' (no quotes) and see if that works... click on an empty area within that same list to make the settings stick and then click 'Apply' or the far right button which is only halfway visible... 'Complete?'

Then go back to the file list and right click on your file and your new association should appear... if problems occur you can view the attempted command line in the output window.

If you need to reformat the parameter you can change the launch command to 'xword %p' or 'xword %f' in the right half of the third list in the edit filetypes screen.

This area is a pretty quirky but once you figure it out its easy to repeat... if i get some time i might try to work with the author to fix the lost focus issues where changes are lost if you dont click on another entry in the list.

one thing i can say that i dont like, and ive never had any problem with this program before (excellent) , is that can you get rid of the full screen dialog boxes for delete, rename, etc confirmations? .... very annoying

hey munky...

yea i noticed those dialogs, and although they don't bug me alot, i do prefer them less than old style confirmations.

I didn't change those so those are the upstream author's changes, but i will look into seeing what he did and maybe revert to the old way if its straightforward.

I keep old builds of emelfm2 on my website so if it bugs you alot you can go back to 0.4.1. My Emelfm2 builds are kept here.

Thanks! i think i will revert, as i dont see any change since the update for the better and i never had any issue before. but yeah...just dont like the fullscreen things, i feel the same way about Omweather, but i dont think the developer has any intention of getting rid of the fullscreen popups on that

edit: just so i understand the previous build is the 0.4.1 for chinook that is on your site... i thought one had been released previously for diablo before this.

Chinook builds always worked on diablo, so use that... this is direct link to older 0.4.1 deb :

My emelfm2 crashes now--more accurate is "stalls", after which I need to pull the battery out. I think this is because I tried to navigate to a folder that has a ton of files in it, and emelfm2 can't deal with it.

I wonder, is there a config file that tells emelfm2 which folders to show upon immediate startup of the app? If I could just get it to show some other folder, I think it wouldn't crash.

Sorry if this is confusing. But I miss using this app.
