Just picked up one of the 3600mah Mugen batteries, but it came with that blasted cheap plastic cover. I was wondering if anyone knew of somewhere that I could get a metal cover for it instead of the plastic one? Or is someone possibly making one themselves? I know that there was talk of someone making a replacement metal one I believe for the 32gb sd memory mod, but I don't know what happened with that.

Just a thought: contact craves1 and ask him?

craves1's cover won't fit the extended battery, its too small, its just big enough for the SD adapter...

I checked the site and there's a cover for the mugen extended battery too, but as before, you gotta buy the whole kit.

I just want to make it very clear.
I do not sell a Metal cover that will cover the Mugen Extended battery with any or my kits. The Mugen 3600 mah battery comes with a plastic cover from them.

The metal cover I make is too thin. It was designed to be as thin as possible and allow the Full size adapter to fit with other future upgrades that I make and apparently others are making since I have received request for covers for 3g projects.

This cover will not cover the Mugen extended battery http://www.remotefactory.com/32gbn810sdSSMetal.html

Thanks

Craves1, will your metal cover work with the car mount?

It wont work with the standard car mount, but will with some after market ones. Look at his SD card thread for more info.

craves1, I just want to thank you for developing and supporting this. I know I was skeptical when you first announced it but I am glad to be proven wrong. Good job (now just fix the typos on the product page. Example: "torx", not "trox". )

Yeah, what Craves has done is cool, but it's too bad that it's too expensive to get a good quality stainless steel cover for the Mugen battery. BTW, if there was a way you could produce *just* the cover for the Mugen battery, would and could you do it? That plastic one is cheap and scares me. I'm afraid it'll die and then I'll have nothing to hold my battery anymore, since you can't get replacements and nobody else makes a metal cover. I'm willing to fork over up to $35 if you can make one. If it costs a bit more, I might still consider it. Can you see what a Stainless Steel cover would cost to make?
