Can anyone tell me why the rss applet shows a little flame icon next to my feeds instead of the USA Today Icon like it should? It used to display it fine not sure why it doesnt now.

The flame icon is from the Feedburner RSS service. It's happened to me before. Sometimes re-adding the feed fixes it, sometimes it doesn't.

As far as I know the flame icon significates a problem while updating the feed, e.g. unable to connect to the internet.

when i open the feed in my browser (on my desktop), i see the same icon (it's the feedburner-icon, btw).

when you google for feedburner and usa today, you'll read that usa today uses feedburner to manage their feeds. so this is something that happens on their servers.
