I think I found a clue for some of my album list issues. I get different results when booting from internal flash than when booting from my usual MMC.

Removing the two .idx files in /home/user/.mediabox/ wipes the index completely. Alternatively you can update the index manually in the preferences view "Media Indexing".

Thanks. I forgot to mention that I tried the manual indexing. I'll try deleting the .idx files.

I prefer to view my audio content by folder rather than album or artist. Is it possible to have MediaBox remember my last view?

Just wanted to say that I really like MediaBox and have been using it for some time. The updates (now they've stabalised) are looking pretty good.
I have just 2 questions

1) the albums/artists views only seems to show the last album I added not all the others... now fixed by deleting the idx files (as suggested for a different index related issue), a rescan to build from scratch has restored everything correctly. Presumably if I add more music I run the risk of the index only showing me the new stuff again.. but I'm happy with a work around.

and more importantly..
2) where did the clock go? I use Media box to play music at night and leave it by my bed, I really liked the big clock view. (and had hoped maybe you'd add some funky start playing albums on alarm type capability) but it's gone ;-(

Image preloading in the new version is very nice. My problem with videos suddenly quitting seems to have gone away of its own accord; let's hope it stays like that!

I'll put it on my TODO list.

It doesn't hurt to delete the index. It only forces MediaBox to do a full scan again.
But I'm still working to improve indexing.

I plan to release the clock as plugin, eventually with the features you mention.

I think I might have found a couple of more bugs

1. Certain albums will refuse to show under the Albums view, even though they show just find under Artists view ( after you have selected the artist, that is ) . The pattern I am noticing is Albums that have non-unique names. I have checked the ID3 tags and they are okay and Canola recognizes them without problems.

2. If the .thumbnails directory is deleted, it is not created again. Attempting a cleanup, I deleted .mediabox and .thumbnails - I got no album covers after starting MediaBox. However after I created .thumbnails manually, and restarted MediaBox , the covers came back.

What all things do I need to delete to do a perfect cleanup ?
