Guilty of pulling pranks like that - favorite on Windows is to make a screenshot the desktop background, and snigger as the poor sap reboots their pc/laptop, and then wonder why the hung app is still hung!!!

win9x could be looped during boot by a couple of lines in autoexec.bat

OP sure id get testy and profane. Am I mistaken or doesn't someone need to know the current lock code to change it? In my mind makes the OP's story a little fishy.
