I agree with the above poster that said it would be nice for om weather to show just the small popup screen like before, when an icon is just tapped, but if you want fullscreen (which i cant stand, only complaint about this app) to tap and hold for a couple seconds.

I loved Omweather but switched to the Foreca applet -- it shuts up and does its job. That's what I want. Also, the weather predictions from Weather.com (which I gather are what Omweather uses) have been outrageously wrong for Southern California (which of course is always warm and sunny, so what's the problem? -- joke). I'll keep trying Omweather, though -- it's the one I WANT to prefer.

For radar weather I use Maemo Mapper with the weather layer on top of the Yahoo Street map. I can zoom into my neighborhood and see that the rain clouds are just down the street and approaching!

Do bombs show up on the doppler radar?

"Looks like there's a storm just to the west, and a couple of cruise missiles coming in from the east..."

Too small to show up . . . however, I did view a hugh brush fire in Chino Hills, California a couple of months ago (not kidding).

hmm... and probably too fast-moving. Doppler radar's refresh rate probably isn't fast enough.

In Maemo Mapper I set my traffic and radar weather for 1 minute refresh rates. I actually notice changes from minute to minute.

That's good for rain and bush fires, but not for cruise missiles
