Hello,

I just bought an internet tablet (n800). Upgraded to latest OS2008 version. I'm trying to create a Turkish keyboard layout for it. I downloaded ukeyboard creator and created the .def file I need. My problem is, how do I convert this .def file to .vkb? I know nothing about linux and command-line stuff...

Thank you very much.

I just compiled ukeyboard on my tablet to do it, but I think the intended idea is to install ukeyboard on a PC (running Linux, or some UNIX) and convert it there. I assume you know you can edit one in ukeyboard creator and test it temporarily, and are seeking a way to permanently convert it?

Thanks for the reply Benson. Yes I tested it in the creator. I read the "how to" file that comes with the source code but I didn't understand how do I convert .def files to .vkb files for permanent use.
