I am one of those requesting more processing power, but honestly, for 99% of what I do the 770 has pleanty of power. I've never noticed a frame dropped in video but I haven't watched that many videos on the 770. I HAVE had mp3s or streamed music stutter when I do something complex in another application. The main reason that I want more power is that I am writing an application shell for the 770 using OpenGL and I could put more detail in themes if there were more horse power.

If you want advice, I personally would until the Nokia World conference and see if they announce anything.

Yep, the 7805 will happily drain your batteries dry with no load. For a LM7805 it uses 8 mA of power while idle so if you have a 150 mAH 9V rechargeable you can expect about 18 hours of life. I would suggest placing a LED (with 1K ohm resistor) across the output of the 7805 to remind you it's still quietly consuming power

Yay! The camera does rotate completely forward. Sounds like RS-MMC won't be completely abandoned after all either. More memory is good, but that stand...there's something about that stand.

There seems to be some disagreements if it's got one miniSD + one RSMMC, or two miniSD slots. Anyway, what's kept me from buying the 770 yet is: A bit short on memory, and no SD. So, there's more memory.. good! Two card slots is very good, I always thought that would make sense: one card more or less permanently installed, like a (replacable) disk - and for this device it would be practical to have a little swap area on that permanently installed card. Then the second slot would be for popping in and out those other extra cards - on my Palm it's always inconvenient that I have to remove the permanent card (where I keep all my software that I won't/can't store in RAM) whenever I want to pop in the card from my camera or some other gadget.

Which leads me to my second grief.. why miniSD? Why not full-size, good old SD? They're everywhere. I've got pocketsfull of them myself. Or even MMC Plus, which is compatible as well as twice as fast as SD. Why mini? As far as I understand it's possible to use miniSD in an SD slot through an adapter, but not the other way around? In any case, normal SD would mean larger capacities sooner, and they are also ultra cheap now, compared to other flash formats. And ubiquitous. Oh, and the device is obviosly large enough to easily accomodate SD cards - there are lots of tiny devices out there with SD.
