Hi All,
I have SlimServer and Mythtv running on my Multimedia Box, and although these are uPnP devices, when I try running Media Streamer on my 770, no servers are seen. Is there any way to connect to these servers?

Thanks.

I've used Slimserver to stream audio to my 770 but not as a UPnP service, just a regular internet stream to the built-in audio player. I would then control playback through it's web interface.

mythtv 0.20 has upnp, but you need to have the ip address set on the backend as opposed to the default local loop back address.

I can see the server and directories but have not got it to play music or recordings yet.

Yes, I have the backend set to 192.168.0.3 as I stream TV to a remote mythfrontend (yes, I am running V0.20). However, I do not see the server on my nokia 770. Is there any setup required on either the mythtv box or the nokia? There doesn't seem to be much of anything to set on the MediaStreamer app.

I thought I might try another uPnP server like ushare if I can not get MediaStreamer to see my mythtv box.

i have been trying the ame thing with mythtv .20 to stream music but while canola sees the server and recordings folder, there are no subdirectories listed. This may be because the files are aac files tranferred from itunes, off of an intel mac. But I have never tried uPnP devices before so I might be missing something on the mythtv box or the 770. Anyone get music to stream over their network to the 770 yet, and if so, what are the specifics?

somewhat off topic, but...

does any one have mythtv running on 64 bit athlon with fedora core 5 or 6 (x86_64 version) and a hauppauge tuner card? i cannot for the life of me get it working. everytime i install i get "disabling irq # 209" when udev loads (which is the irq for the tuner card), and then LVM hangs and the machine wont boot.

i run lvm for several mount points, and have a dedicated FS for the recordings off mythtv, that spans an entire disk.

my current build is rock solid and i have no issues when i install mythtv itself. when i add the ivtv drivers everything goes out the window. i have tried posting on other boards, and even got rejected from the mailing list for ivtv. mod didnt accept my letter.
