Does anyone know if you can use multiple Bluetooth headsets at the same time to an n810?

Do you mean at the same time.. or at alternate times?

If you mean to ask, 'can I pair multiple headsets to the N810?' The answer is yes, and you can watch it keep track of all paired devices in the bluetooth control panel area.

If you mean, at the same time--I don't know for sure but my guess is no--since I've noticed that if you connect up a new audio output device, it will switch all streaming output to that one device. I've also noticed that there appears to be an order of precedence (built-in speakers are the least preferred, BT headphones are the next least preferred, headphone jack is the most preferred) whenever I play with connecting and disconnecting audio output accessories.

How about a bluetooth headset and a keyboard? or its just one BT "channel"?
I feel curious ^^.

At the same time

I am going on a trip and I wanted run some movies/music off my n810 for my wife and I without disturbing people around me. I guess I will get a splitter for the headphone jack.

You can definitely use a BT headset and keyboard at the same time. I've done that. I've also used the BT headset while also using the Nokia BT GPS accessory without problems too.

The problem comes with having more than one audio output device--the N800 seems to want to SWITCH the output to only one output device. Can anyone verify that that's true?

That would be the best thing--also, I thought you're generally not allowed to use radio emitting devices (cell phones, wifi, bluetooth, etc.) while on a plane?

I may be able to verify this for you soon enough. I have a second pair of Bluetooth headphones ordered today to replace my old damaged one (the plastic band broke.. but the electronics are fine) and I can probably try this out myself after they arrive.

thanks for the answer. I may get a bluetooth headset, but i don't really have the need. I'm not such a music person, thought it would be nice keeping myself off-cables. My room has three multiple sockets, and I'm quite sure it can be hold accountable for at least 60% of my house's electrical bill. XD

I'm sure someone else is gonna come pwn me on this, but I can top you, anyway; BT GPS, headset, phone (DUN), and keyboard at once.

It's true. Though there's actually bigger issues with the way BT is handled, I think -- there's no way to make that work.

One workaround is to use a real mixer (via Debian chroot, for example) to toggle some settings. You can make it play over a BT headset and the 1/8" port simultaneously that way. (You can also crank it out the speakers, but that might not satisfy the intent of not annoying others...)

i have done headset (a2dp to phone as player), keyboard to tablet and tablet to phone (dun or pan, i find the latter results in less interference on the music).

i have a gps, but find i have little use for it at present.

You used N8x0 as a headset for the phone? How did you made that?
Or if not... do you think is possible?
I want to stream audio using a2dp from laptop to n800, the tablet being connected to bigger speakers, and to be able to move the laptop around the room.
Also I tested streaming through wifi using a shoutcast radio, but it has lags, and over fm, but the quality drops. So I believe using a2dp will be instant and with enough quality.
