I just got my 810 last week. The OS 2008 version is 2.2007.51-3. Having just downloaded the Update wizard, I noticed that OS 2008 version 5.2008.43-7 is available; this latter version is a Diablo release.

My questions are: Am I well advised to update to OS 2008 version 5.2008.43-7? How does Diablo differ from what I currently have installed? Is is simply a different Linux flavor? Further, if I were to perform an update, will all the apps I've downloaded, installed and configured be expunged?

Yes, they will. However, if you run a backup first, and check the box to include a list of the installed applications, your tablet will offer to restore the backup and attempt to redownload all the applications following the upgrade.

Thanks for your timely and concise response. The 810 is updating as I write this.The procedure looks good so far and hopefully the Restore will allow my apps to be re-downloaded.
