What's the screen resolution? that's where every potential competitor has come up short.

I can't believe nobody caught this. (unless I just completely missed it) The PSP's resolution is 480 x 272 which makes it very unusable as a web browser. The 770's resolution is 800 x 480.

800 pixels wide is the magic number as 800 pixels wide is the resolution most web designers should be designing for still. (although some people design for 1024 pixels wide)

If someone were to use AJAX or a number of other tools, screen size is irrelevant.

Screen size *is* a consideration with the design tools - if you have a 15" laptop screen that is 1600x1200 for instance (Thinking of the Dell Inspiron 8600), a lot of web content is going to be rather microscopic for instance.
