That's possible. Configure your router to use an other channel for wifi.

I had to change my Sky router when the neighbour got Sky BB aswell and we were both using the same channel.

It's not only the neighbours router that can create problems.
Your microwave oven can create the same problems.
Solution?
Go into settings panel of your router and scan the area.
You will find several networks .
Write down their chanel.
Then go into your settings and change the chanel to a "quiet" one.
The conflicts apear when everyone in the same area leave their routers on default chanel.

note that channels higher then 11 are unavailable outside of USA, and 14 is only found in japan...

Of course if you do determine that it's those "punks next door" ruining your wifi coverage by occupying the only available channels, you can always do what I did: get an external 2.4 Ghz antenna and a 2.4 Ghz amplifier... and just obliterate the channel they're on with your own signal. Sure, it won't be terribly practical or useful, but at least it should cause enough grief for them to up and change their channel/etc. If you're feeling really annoyed, get an older 2.4Ghz cordless phone (don't connect it to the phone line or anything), and just leave if off hook for a few days... again being sure to place the base station as close to your "next door" as possible ;o)
(the "neighbour friendly" approach of course is to do what everyone's suggested and change channels... I'm just offering some... alternatives)

Please, avoid this as much as possible, this is plain WiFi vandalism. What if they buy an amplifier with the same idea as you did ? Then some other neighbours join in on the WiFi party and the end result will be useless WiFi for the whole city block.

Consider using a better antenna, maybe a directional one, a foil reflector perhaps, increasing power is almost never the solution (especially as any boost you do on your AP will be useless to the as the quality is determined by the party with the weaker power/antenna which is most likely than not the N810)

Bad idea. It won't help. The neighbour with the new wi-fi router clearly doesn't understand the channel issue in the first place, or he would have set it up correctly to start with (doing the scan to check out what's already installed around him). Thus, jamming him will achieve exactly nothing: He will have no idea about what's wrong, and will most probably leave everything in place and not touch a thing.

I really think that changing the channel will solve this problem!! There's no reason to start war.

By the way, if your router is one of the type than can have a small replacement Linux firmware installed such as Tomato, DD-WRT or OpenWRT you can set your channel beyond channel 11 up to 14. Of course you would then have to have a wifi card that can access those channels.

I'm using Tomato and it's so cool because there is a "Scan" button that will look for what channels in your area are being used. You would then pick a channel not currently being used to reduce interference.

In this picture you can see near the bottom that the scan button was clicked and it found 2 api's in the current area using channel 6.
