Hey guys i just got new Nokia 770 i just got it off ebay and the first thing that i noticed about it was the screen was not crisp it was almost like it there were little sparky pixels in the screen almost like if you got it wet and you wipe it off i dont really know how to explain it but i mean is this the way it comea or is there a way to solve it i know apple makes a apple sauce polish to polish up the screen of their ipods would that help or is that just the way it looks???? Also i have check the forum and searched alot but havent really found a straight link on how to down load the app i need to watch videos on like youtube where do i go and does anyone have a step by step directions i could follow it would be greatly appreciated if someone helped me out thanks alot guys sorry for being such a noob
The touch-sensitive digitizer of the 770 causes the "sparkly" effect that you are seeing. Of course, if "new on eBay" means that it is new to you, but was used, then tiny scratches on the screen would amplify the sparklies.
Frankly, I was a bit disappointed with it having returned a sparkling clear Palm T|X in favor of the 770. That said, you have to take the bad with the good. The designers opted for the degraded screen in favor of high resolution--not a bad tradeoff. As time passes, however, this will improve.
If it is any consolation, someone posted quite a while ago about disassembling (not for the faint of heart or weak of skill) their 770 and after removing the digitizer they were shocked to see a sharp and flawless display underneath. So, what you see is what you get and you cannot have your cake and eat it too!
