Thanks the media channel in question is a 24 h continuous news info so that may explain when a particular subject is treated but in my case that will play a few seconds four or five then it would jump to the next channel i have to tap on the previous so forth till I quit that is bizarre, everything is bizarre and bizarre discouraging, i really hope nokia's next device will come with a really out of the box with some decent software that is headache proof and works, they have dependent too much on the community to fix their holes. rant sorry

I'm having poor results with it indexing. It stared out seeing all of the albums but only the first four cover arts. Now it seems to only see one album.

I tried updating using the built in Media Indexing, no change. It seems to scan the folders, but does seem to rebuild. I tried deleting both idx files and the.mediabox directory on the MMC card. Again it only sees one album. I navigated using Mediabox's folder view and it sees al the music there. AFter I navigated back to the album view 4 more albums were listed...there should be 10 or so...but only two with art. Sigh.

I'm very bummed. The best advantage Mediabox has is the large button car view, but I jsut have not had good consistent results with Mediabox.

I am also not seeing anything under Authors, Albums, or Genres. The albums do come up in the Folders view though. And yes, all the MP3 tags are in place and I told MediaBox to scan media.

Whatever that channel is, it either reports end-of-stream or there is a problem playing it so MediaBox jumps to the next channel.

When you change shuffle mode, do the icons in the title bar change to represent the selected shuffle mode?
If not, then maybe there is a problem with storing configuration in gconf.

I was able to reproduce this bug. The end of file detection of the mplayer backend gets fooled by mplayer when it complains about "your system is too slow to play this" on some streams. I'm gonna correct this and upload a bugfix update.

Can you show me the folder structure you have and which files have embedded cover art?
Maybe then I can find out what's going wrong with indexing.

I also have indexing issues. it seems like the first time everything works fine. eg when I updated to 96.4 it fired up and showed things in all views.
Second time I started I was back to only seeing things in folder view.
Last time I deleted my idx files I had the same thing. the first start up indexed no problem. subsequent start ups did not work.

I also noticed that selecting shuffle and seeing the icon change to indicate shuffle was enabled, did not in fact shuffle anything.

I also have a weird issue I've not seen mentioned before... If I start it up, and attempt to do anything before it's discovered my network stuff (a mythtv upnp server and media tomb network storage server) then when those notifications flash up they do not dissapear.
So if I leave it, no problem they pop up and then dissapear. I've I've moved to a different view or whatever, then the last notification doesn't disappear unless I touch it. It also then refuses to actually play anything, and when I attempt to quit it doesn't draw the exit dialog button or text (but does bring up the window)
It's not a show stopper, just kinda weird. I've learned to give it a moment to 'settle' before starting to use it ;-)
Despite these issues it is still my number one choice media player.
