No, i think thats a valid problem with mplayer. i have the same problem with lots of files in mplayer that work well in the media pleayer (the standard one). AND it seems that it only started after the last update of mplayer....

I have a similar problem with the Radio Tuner on the N810, how useless is that!

my connection is good--broadband and netgear wifi---is it a ram issue -anyone know how to stop the stutters---now that i think back it could be the mplayer update because it did work fine at one time

I think esd is the source of trouble. mplayer sometimes starts shuttering and I have traced it to be an audio/esd problem

when I've used it it's been fine. Nothing I've wanted to watch though.

sadly for me half the channels don't really work, but everything that does is smooth. KMplayer can choose back ends, so if OSSOMedia does not work, try Mplayer, vice versa.
