Along with Nokia, two other mobile makers are facing a lawsuit for violating Bluetooth patent.

To me this looks like another example of patent bullying.. "Washington Research Foundation"? As far as I know the whole BlueTooth technology was invented and designed by Ericsson (their mobile phone division became part of Sony-Ericsson, but Ericsson proper is a separate company with lots of products). Wikipedia seems to agree with me.. got some more details from there.. two of their guys dreamed up the whole concept back in 1994, and there is a BlueTooth consortium, that "Washington Research Foundation" is not part of that, and they damned well didn't "research" their way to any BlueTooth patents.

The dates are gonna kill this quickly. Ericsson patented Bluetooth 1 year ahead of the school's tech.
