I must say, that vaccuum brewer looks very intriguing. I've been using a basic french press with excellent results, but I'm always open to new ideas...

Of course, penguinbait, you haven't tasted the best cup of coffee of your life until you've roasted your own coffee (in a popcorn popper)*.

No need to leave the house to get great coffee, or a wifi signal

Well, to come back to the OP. Three weeks ago my #4 would have been "glasses". While Fasting in the weeks before Easter and abstaining from penguin's #5, I left them at home a couple of weeks ago. Only 15 min after I started the engine and drove to work I realized that it wasn't fog or rain that affected my view. According to the law, I am not allowed to drive a car w/o glasses. Therefore I tried to put the car in my trouser's pocket and looked forward to take a ride home by public transport. But as I am wearing a European style trouser, it didn't fit ...

So I could only rate "5 things I don't leave behind most of the time". Yet, they are quite unspectacular and from the previous post I am unsure what degree of detail is required: clothing - footwear - shoes - Adidas sneaker with red shoe-lace - ...

Hm, not exactly the most active group:

"Recent news:

The first SSU Update for Diablo is out.

Firmware version 4.2008.30-2"

I just joined the Facebook maemo.org fan club!

I'm not going to join the Facebook Maemo group, my friends think I'm geeky enough already. Something funny I saw on the N810 group I just have to share:

"This Firmware upgrade can be done Wireless, but forget to backup your data first."

Forget?!

lol.
I don't really do the facebook thing much, but if I was into facebook I'd join. My friends already think I'm a total geek/nerd, so I can't really change that any more...
Although when I joined a subaru group on facebook everyone was saying "Woah, the computer geek is into cars too" ...

Seeing that this is partly a coffee thread, . . .
I once (in Germany) had only beans at home (mistake in the shop) and no grinder,
and a good friend and coffee lover came by.
???
So I remembered . . .
Put the beans between two (large) sheets of paper.
Roll a bottle over to grind them.
The grinding will be just right for cooking the coffee.
(the trad. swedish way before brewing was invented)
Boil a pot of water with enough coarse ground coffee in it till it foams.
Wait till the coffe powder sinks.
Enjoy!

My friend thought he had come to the middle of the wild,
but he enjoyed the coffee.

By the way, this is not one of my five ..etc.. things :

But I do keep mer in my N810 , also easy-mer ,
and the NIT is quite often one of the usuallly more than five.
