In case anyone thinks this is a deliberately camp tongue-in-cheek ironic comedy, it isn't.
Zardoz is one of the most serious films ever made, which makes it even more amusing to watch as the gap between its seriousness and its choice of costumes sets new width records.
The sad part is that there's a really clever serious story at the heart of the film (I can see why Connery signed onto the project), but the production designs they used are so silly that no one really notices the plot.
