BanditRider,

I have zoomed in and out many times. MM worked well about 2 weeks ago before I had my GPS. It stopped working about the time that Google did their updates. I had never tried Terra before yesterday, so it may not be a coincidence that it is not working.

I finally figured it out. I had auto center turned off. apparently MM didn't like that so I only got a blank screen, regardless of the zoom level.

That probably means that your view center point was set to far off, distant places for which you did not have maps downloaded. (I think the default is somewhere on the equator.) Centering onto the "current location" (which you can also do via the "Enter" key, by the way) would bring you back to a sane location, assuming you have a GPS receiver.

Still, if you had auto-download enabled, it would have downloaded any needed maps for you, unless maybe you were using a repository that doesn't have maps near the equator.

Anyway, sorry for the trouble!

Maemo Mapper v1.3.3 has been released. As usual, you can grab it from the mistral repository (http://repository.maemo.org/extras/ mistral free) or directly from the Maemo Mapper Garage Files page.

I fixed a minor bug in track export/import. Maemo Mapper should now be able to open older and new Track files.

Also, I made some initial attempts at producing a version of Maemo Mapper that installs and runs on the n800. Without an n800 myself, I can't actually test it, but it should work better. Particularly, I removed the libbluetooth1 dependency entirely (in favor of D-Bus), and I removed the libxau1 dependency from the dependency list (not sure if it was needed or not).

Can someone with an n800 please try to install Maemo Mapper v1.3.3 (either from the repository or from the Garage) and tell me if you can run it from the launch menu (and, if not, from the command line)? Thanks.

I tried to install 1.3.3 (N800)

Application Manager refuses, says I need libsqlite0 (>=2.8.13).

However, installed applications says I have libsqlite3-0 and libsqlite3-dev installed.

So color me confused.

libsqlite0 is NOT libsqlite3-0! Install libsqlite0.

Gnuite it works well on the N800. In fact it found my gps quicker than normal and also seemed to pick up the statalites faster.
Thanks for this.

A google search suggests I add

http://downloads.kernelconcepts.de/maemo2 mistral free

and that fixes it.
If it's easy to do, I propose adding this library to maemo3 bora.

Haven't tried it in the car yet, but it's showing my home location just dandy.

Now, I've got to work out how to bookmark the likes of "Home" on this thing...

Thanks ever so much. This is some piece of software.
