My mantra is to never buy anything without trying ebay first, in the case of media cards this is by far the cheapest source, but be warned you will need patience and long finger nails to start with.I recently had a strong urge to find out for myself whether 32GB
SDHC cards would work on my N800. and third time lucky I won an auction for one for only $56.00 (free shipping)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=160327274701
It has just arrived and yes the N800 reads it fine I have taken a screenshot to prove it:-

Well I just won a 32gb SDHC for $22 shipped on ebay. I must admit I am suspicious. Will try and remember to report back if it arrives and if it is really 32gb and if it works.

Well it arrived, it said Sandisk Extreme 3 and 32gb.
BUT, I started to copy mp3's and it gave an error - "Cannot copy [filename]: The drive cannot find the sector requested."

Formatting didn't help. Special USB repair utility did nothing. Basically it's useless. The outfit on ebay that sold it also disappeared a day or so after the card arrived. So beware!

Could'a told you that'd happen.

On a side note, does anyone remember where the sd card mod was for the nits, and if the designer is still selling it?

Have you tried the low level formatter, either from Panasonic or HP? If they preformatted with other systems, window$ will NOT be able to read it. Same as my SD card that is working on the tablet, ext2 partition is transparant under window, but after lowlevel reformat it then reads the full capacity.

Or you can look at it under window/administrator/disk management and see what it show OR under acronis if you happen to have a copy OR gpartition OR partition Magic OR....
Well, I dont care that much about $24, I do salivate at a 32 G SD if it is salvagable.

+1.... when that day comes I will sell my ipod touch... until then I am stuck hanging on to it (my 8GB card isn't sufficient for my full music library, the 16GB card will give me the same storage as my touch, however my touch is currently full.... so I'm waiting on the 32GB!)
