Ok looks like it was going to work, but...

I click on map to start the application. it fires up and then it says the map is corrupted.

ok I give up. I tried to delete the corrupted file and it wouldnt let me I tried to delete it using my PC and also on the tablet. It deletes everything else except "Legal" folder SO I re copy the mapset to the card using my pc and try again then it says "no memory card found" even though I had it open in file manager right then.

I am sure there is a maemo mapper "how to" -this mapping solution is a major pain.

ok I am extremely pissed off now. I got fed up with these corrupted files and downloaded Maemo mapper out of frustration. Maemo mapper locked up the N810 and when trying to go back to my restore point of my last backup it locks up and is useless.

I have to now flash the whole N810 (very mad)

Maemo mapper may have been present when the crime occurred, but I don't believe it was the culprit. I have installed it lots of times without problems.

Hmm is this being stored on your internal memory or an external card?

Hello, I just purchased my 810 and am having the same issue downloading maps.

I have a follow up question...is it better to download the maps directly to a card than the internal memory?
Thanks!
