Not sure when, but I'm talking with my friend about it, she does apparel alterations, design and such. I want one for myself foremost, but I know there's got to be interest here.

That said, I imagine the N810 can't be much different in size than the N800, it's not as long right?

Anyway, please vote in the poll so I can gauge interest.

I think the tablet is too big to comfortably put on the arm. However, a pipboy type case would be really fun to play with. I could pretend I am in Fallout 3...

It's not *that* much bigger than an iPhone. I wouldn't mind having it on my arm. Very practical for me.

I made one that is tough, highly functional and too absurdly geeky to wear in public. I used the car gps mount and about 8 inches of really big PVC pipe.

I wanted a way to carry the 810 where it was always visible and the gps antenna was pointed skyward most of the time. My left arm seemed a logical place and my unused car mount gave me the inspiration.

I've been using it for about 3 months now and it works great.

But I wouldn't want to wear it dancing.

I looked into making an armband for my N800 a while back. I wanted it so I can listen to music while jogging. I was going to take an old psp hard case and cut two openings in the back for the band to go through it.

It probably would've worked but I bought a sansa clip instead for my jogging needs.

Not an armband, but this looks fun, if the N8x0 fits in :

I mentioned it already in an ecoach thread. I use my urban holster to run with my n810 on my back (see picture with ipod). It fits horizontally that it should not change position during the course of the day. Yet, it is rather heavy, so I use a lanyard to fix both straps on the front.

It might fit. I can tell you that the N810 doesn't fit in the Urban HipHolster, but that's a nice product too. As an off-topic FYI, it looks like the pen holders on most of their products are the same size as my HipHolster's, so if you get anything from them, check out the Zebra-brand aluminum collapsible pens - they're fairly nice, but you can buy them at WalMart.
To the OP: I'm sure some people would find an armband useful, but I've never used one for anything, and I'm curious what the advantage is over a belt holder, or something else. I would think that waving the headphone cord around trailing behind your arm would be less convenient... enlighten me...

Armband with transparent front is much more practical. Then I don't have to remove the N800 from my belt holster, risking dropping it just to change a music track.

@jself: Yeah, that makes sense. As I said, I've never owned one, so I didn't know what the use-cases were.
