G's Tablet: none of the above.

You want abiword_2.7.4-0hub1_armel.deb

(EDIT: This will only open Word docs. For Excel docs, you need Gnumeric)

As I said above, Gnumeric, the one in the Extras repository should work fine. Use your Application Manager to install it.

(You might need to enable the Extras repository in Application Manager, under Tools -> Application catalog)

Thanks again

As soon as I unpack it (the new toy) charge it and all of that good stuff I will probably be posting asking for instructions as of how to install both apps.

This version of Abiword seems to be working fine for me. I have printing installed via Penguinbait's CUPS. Is there any way (at the user level) to allow Abiword to recognize that printing is installed and available?

Install the armel deb since that is the architecture of the tablet (armel.)

jeremiah, was your post in response to my question about printing, or G's Tablet post regarding Abiword version?

I don't think the Maemo version of Abiword has printing enabled, since only a tiny minority of us have CUPS installed. If you want to print from a word processor, you're going to have to use the KOffice that comes with PB's KDE, or install Mer or Easy Debian and then use the desktop version of Abiword or OpenOffice.

That's what I've been doing thanks to your hard work. All Easy Debian apps recognize that I have CUPS already installed, and print fine from there. I hoping, however, for the possibility of an easy modification to the Maemo version of Abiword as it does load much more quickly and also uses the native keyboard.
