There is a file /home/user/.mozilla/microb/prefs.js in which the about:config is stored. But that is not really the case. When I change this file (e.g. another user agent, locale, etc) and restart the browser, the old settings are restored and when I check ike prefs.js file it is reverted at the time the browser is opened.
In which file are the browser settings really stored ?

Look at the section "Editing prefs.js" in http://wiki.maemo.org/MicroB_tweaks.
