It sounds like you just need to use the File Manager. It's one of your apps that comes with the system. And you can tell the N800 where to save anything that you download (like music and videos). So I'm not sure what your problem is. Maybe if you explain what programs you're doing all this in, there will be more to tell you. Start with the File Manager in any event.
If you get more advanced with file management, then you can download emelfm2. But start with the built-in app; it sounds like you haven't used it yet.

First of all, thank you for the prompt reply. I've been teaching summer school so things have been hectic which explains my delay in getting back to you.
I've looked at the file manager program, as you suggested. Here is, specifically, what I want to do:
(1) I use GPE Calendar, Contacts, and To do constantly. I want to move those applications to the internal memory card (4 gig). They were downloaded to the machine by the person from whom I bought the machine and they appear to be in the internal flash memory (128 mg). That memory only has 40 mg free space left.
(2) I want to replace the existing 4 gig external memory card with an 8 or 16 gb card for music and videos. (I don't have a lot of music or videos, but having 8 or 16 gig will at least allow me to know, always, which memory card I'm working with from my PC). That I don't expect to be a problem since I can create a 'music' and 'video' folder.
The more important task for me is the first one. I want to move my calendar, contacts, and to do list to the 4-gig internal memory card to insure that I always have enough space for that data.
Hopefully that gives you a clearer picture of what I'm after. Any help you can provide would be most appreciated.

Ah, back to my sig, but not the Newbie link. You want the Try Here First link. Believe me, you want to clone the operate system. Apps can be only where the OS is.

Hello all.
My 2nd hand N800 has two PNY 4-gig SD memory cards installed in it. When I check the memory via control panel, it tells me that the internal 4-gig card has 122 meg of data written to it and the external one has 5 meg, but I don't know how to find out what, exactly, is on each card. Is there a way I can do that from the N800 itself?

Being a Nokia N800 and Linux user, when you say 'clone the OS' does that mean I should download the OS to the memory card also? And will that allow me to move GPE Calendar, Contacts, and To Do to internal card, assuming I download the OS to it?

EVERYTHING in your built-in memory gets cloned to the card. Look at the first two links in my sig and peruse those threads.
