so is mer going to add any new features or make the N810 any better, or is it just there to make is so that they can still work? Also, is it going to change the format of the N810, because I like it the way it is now. I'm a bit confused about it still. If someone could please tell me more about it, that would be awsome! (or is that all we know about it yet?)

Mer is the future of the tablet. It's an OS for the N8x0 tablets that is based on Ubuntu (IIRC) and will be what we run on our tablets to give them a longer life just like Linux does for older PC's.
It's still in development and has a lot of work to be done, but once it's ready for a full release, it'll be great. Til then, you can try out the other alternatives in the Alternatives section to kinda get an idea of what you can do with the tablet currently.
