hi all,
usually i could download the maps from the net. but after several weeks i didn't update the map, then try to update the map, getmaps_osm shows no activity after i click the "Get OSM Maps"
button.
the output only shows this message:
"Connecting, Please wait...
-- will process 1 tiles
--
-- processing tileid '1523569673', for file 'qt21/5a/cf/qt5acfd409.rdm
-- command is "/usr/bin/wget --user-agent='RoadMap/1.1.0j' -q -O - 'http://www.symbians.org/~adam/osmgetbmap.php?tile=1487861&ts=21&have=15"'

after that, getmaps goes idle.
i also try to download from the url above using wget, manually, and success, give the download result size 119659 bytes.

My location is: -6.224409, 106.824259 (Indonesia)

do you have an advice about my problem?
fyi, the last successful map update was on Oct 22nd, 2008

regards,
coredumb

I am also having trouble downloading maps using getmaps_osm. I have an n810, with roadmap 1.1.0j-7 installed.

When attempting to download maps, getmaps_osm goes idle while showing the wget line. There is no meaningful output from running on the terminal. If I watch processes via ps -ef on the terminal, I can see that getmaps_osm spawns a second process of the same name, which then spawns wget. When wget completes, the getmaps_osm child process becomes a zombie. It cannot be killed (even -9) and does not close until the parent process is closed. If I click the 'Get OSM Maps' button a second time, it spawns yet another process, which runs wget and then zombifies. Leaving me one parent with two zombie children.

No files are created in /media/mmc1/roadmaps.

If I put it different coordinates, it can get a map. So maybe the parser is choking on something specific in the downloaded file?

37.000, -122.000, radius 1, 21 bits fails for me.

Hmm I don't know if this is limited to my tablet, but roadmaps seems unable to connect to my Holux M1200 by itself. I can turn on the GPS and open roadmap and it won't connect (neither will roadgps). But if I open up the Maps application or Maemo Mapper suddently roadmaps can connect..

Edit: Found in preferences an option for me to specify the address. Trying to see if that'll work.

Edit2: Even if I specify a bluetooth MAC address and force it, it won't work.
