If you are feeling adventurous (no warranty expressed or implied, may eat your data, make a backup beforehand etc) you can try this patched libtinymail-camel. I couldn't send it all in one go because of the attachment file limit, so download both files to your tablet, then run (as root):

Code:
cat xaa.deb xab.deb > libtinymail-camel-1.0-0_1.0.0-svn3786_armel.deb
dpkg -i libtinymail-camel-1.0-0_1.0.0-svn3786_armel.deb
If it doesn't work at least let me know if there's anything different in the log. You can restore the original by running "apt-get install libtinymail-camel-1.0-0" as root.
Attached Files
File Type: deb xaa.deb (390.6 KB, 192 views)
File Type: deb xab.deb (224.1 KB, 181 views)

Hehe, man you made my day!
Sync works... I installed the .deb, restarted the tablet, reconnected to my IMAP account and after several "plings" (the notification sound) I saw that the mails are now synced

Thank you so much! I had exactly the same problem with 1&1. Now it works, having followed your instructions and "feeling adventurous".

I've been using the N810 with IMAP and Gmail without problem for months. Implementations of a server protocol can have subtle differences that may only show up with a particular client.
