Hello
Today I noticed that every time I connect to my keyboard (igo stowaway) I get a new bluetooth icon in the status bar...the last thing I installed was "extra options pidgin plug-in"
everything eise about the bluetooth works perfectly

wondering what file controls status bar icons?
is there a way to log what is occuring at the level wher the call for a new icon / append current icon...?

searched for this issue and so far have found nothing

The Bluetooth icon appearing when the Bluetooth is on/in use is normal. If you want to turn it off (if I understood the post properly) go to Control Panel -> Panels -> Status bar and untick the Bluetooth tickbox.

the problem is that i get multiple bluetooth icons...every time I connect the keyboard another icon appears.
rebooting has no effect other than to reset the status bar.
