Hello All,
here's a preview deb of motion. The initscript and a working motion.conf file are in the motion-scripts.tar.gz file. To install-

1. install the deb from the command line.
2. extract the tar.gz file in your homedir and-
--- copy motion.conf to /usr/etc
--- copy the motion initscript to /etc/init.d
3. create the directory /media/mmc2/motion

To start as root in xterm do-
Code:
/etc/init.d/motion start
If it's working correctly, you'll see the LED flash red about once every 10 seconds.

Caveats-
-Each image takes ~25k. So 1 gig can hold about 40,000 pictures. It is possible to take up quite a bit of space with this app. Be careful.
-I removed the date from the jpg filename to limit the number of files that can be created...
-Definitely look through the conf file and tweak the settings to your own taste.
-ffmpeg support is not compiled in (yet).
-the 'minimum_frame_time' option doesn't seem to work. I'm looking into it. But for now, I'd recommend leaving it at '0' (disabled).

That in mind, play with it and post back.

I hope to have it integrated with adeona within a couple days. (I'm halfway there now...)

cheers,
kernelpanic
