I resently installed advanced backlighting and love it. But I was wondering if there is a way to get it to take out the original light and sound icons (the ones that are originally on the top of the N810), and put the new one in their place. Thank!

Yes, just go to 'Control Panel/Panels/Status Bar' and you can deselect the original applets and reorder everything else.
