Hi,

I use my tablet in text mode (via osso-xterm or roxterm). My preferred working environment in Emacs and that works just fine. However, I do like using 'screen' to have multiple shells etc running in the same xterminal. I've downloaded and installed screen and most things work just fine. I have one problem, however, which I cannot figure out. The key (on the N810 slider keyboard) that is meant to delete backwards (i.e. left pointing arrow, call it what you want) doesn't do anything at all within screen whereas it works just fine otherwise.

Update: at least in roxterm, the backspace key seems to send a C-@ keycode.

Can anybody suggest anything to look at in terms of configuration?

Interestingly, Ctrl-H deletes the previous character just fine and in fact sends a Delete character, not control-h...

Thanks,
eric

Further update: Problem solved, at least using roxterm.
Roxterm allows specifying what the "backspace" key should send so I've
set it to Del and everything works just fine. Sorry for the noise!

I'll leave this post here in case it helps anybody in the future.
